Biography

Dr. White received her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Minnesota in Developmental/Educational Psychology in 1997; she received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 1978. She currently is an Associate Professor in Department of Occupational Therapy, University of New Hampshire, as well as Faculty Director of the Discovery Program, the university’s core curriculum. Dr. White developed and teaches a general education course in Biological Sciences on human stress (Stressed out: The science and nature of human stress), as well as teaching courses in research methods.

Research Interest

Dr. White’s research and teaching interests within occupational therapy are focused in research methodology, human stress behaviors and the impact on occupation/activity participation, stress biomarker and behavioral research, Autism Spectrum Disorder research, and outcomes based-practice.
