Biography
Professor Sheppard is honoury Professor of Cardiovascular Pathology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, and has worked there for 25 years. She is now head of the Cardiovascular Pathology Unit at St George’s Medical School which is a unique academic centre within UK funded by Charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Professor Sheppard has built up an extensive network with her cardiological colleagues within Royal Brompton hospital and St Georges Hospital. She collaborates on imaging with MRI unit of Royal Brompton Hospital and BRU Cardiovascular Unit within Imperial with an emphasis on cardiac genetics with Professor Stuart Cook.
