Chun-Liang Lin

Biography

Chun-Liang Lin (SM’02) was born in Tainan, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1958. He received the Ph.D. degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan in 1991. He was an Associate Professor and Professor with the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, from 1995 to 2003. He was the Vice President of National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, ROC, from 2012 to 2015. He is currently a Chair Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Chung Hsing University. His research interests include synthetic biology, biomedical engineering, guidance and control, intelligent control, network control and robust control. Dr. Lin received Distinguished Research Award three times from the National Science Council of Taiwan in 2000, 2003, and 2010, respectively. He is Fellow of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Fellow of the Chinese Automatic Control Society (CACS). He serves as the editorial board members for 10 international journals including IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, Asian Journal of Control, International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, International Journal of Systems and Synthetic Biology, etc. Dr. Lin received 2015 Premium Award for Best Paper in IET Systems Biology and Gold Medal Award from The 17th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies «Archimedes» (2014).
