Dr. Naveen Patil serves the Arkansas Department of Health as the Medical Director for HIV/STD/TB/Hepatitis sections. He is also the Project Director of the Hansen’s Program grant. Dr. Patil serves as the Chairman of the Arkansas AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Formulary Advisory Committee. In his capacity, Dr. Patil works in coordination with the Infectious Diseases Branch and Center of Health Protection at ADH to set policy direction for the department and assure that programmatic responsibilities are met. He also directs patient care activities for the TB program and also guides clinical personnel at the Local Health Units and other facilities in HIV/STD care.
Dr. Patil is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and holds a voluntary faculty position in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the UAMS College of Medicine. He has Master’s degrees in Health Services Administration and Gerontology. He is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, HIV Medical Association, International AIDS Society, International Society of Infectious Diseases and several other professional organizations.
