Kesheng Wang received his PhD in Population Genetics and Biometry from the Georg-August-University of Goettingen, Goettingen, Germany. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Biostatistics and Genetic Epidemiology/Statistical Genetics at the Hospital for Sick Children and University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada (2002-2006). Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, East Tennessee State University, USA.

Research Interest

• Biostatistics and Statistical Application: Generalized linear mixed models (GLMMs) in complex survey data and clinical trials; longitudinal data analysis; survival analysis; data mining and multivariate data analysis (cluster analysis, principal component analysis and factor analysis, and structural equation modeling); multi-level analysis; Bayesian analysis; Big Data analysis and health Informatics • Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Social-Behavioral Epidemiology: Cancer prevention and control (e.g., cancer screening, cancer information seeking behaviors); epidemiology of alcohol consumption and substance use, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome, HCV, and HIV; lifestyle factors and health behaviors (alcohol use and smoking, fruit and vegetable consumption, physical activity, and disease screening); mental health (anxiety, depression, and psychological distress) • Genetic Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics/Genomics: Genetic epidemiology of complex diseases including alcohol use disorder and comorbidity, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and diabetes; analysis of genome-wide association study (GWAS) datasets, next generation sequencing (NGS), and epigenetics data; meta-analysis
