Dr. Oudit is a Cardiologist and a Clinician-Scientist at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, University of Alberta. Dr Oudit’s research is focused on the pathophysiology and molecular biology of heart failure, vascular disease and kidney disease. We are studying the role of various signaling pathways in heart failure including the different PI3K isoforms, Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) and Apelin peptides and their downstream signaling pathways. We are also exploring the basis of cardiac toxicity of novel anti-cancer drugs which are known to block PI3K signaling.
