Dr. Abbadi Girmay Reda is an Ethiopian and senior researcher in NRM and Geoinformatics Engineering, Tigray Agricultural Research Institute, Ethiopia. He earned BSc in Plant sciences from Alemaya University, Ethiopia (1988), MSc in Remote Sensing and GIS for NRM from ITC Netherlands in 2001 and PhD degree in Remote Sensing and GIS (2013) from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He has been senior researcher and director of NRM research from 2003-2008. His areas of specialty include NRM research, Land Use Planning (LUP), Climate Change, Remote Sensing and GIS, SLM, Environmental Impact Assessment, and sustainable development. He has 20 years of research experience. He has authored and coauthored 10 peer reviewed international journal articles, edited 3 international proceedings, presented 30 research articles in national and international workshops and conferences, and organized 4 international conferences. He is active member of several professional societies.
