Biography

He have a broad background in vascular surgery and vascular biology, with specific training and expertise in key research areas of angiogenesis/arteriogenesis, vascular remodeling and atherogenesis. He graduated from the Capital Medical University in Beijing, China with a MD degree in clinical medicine. Aa vascular surgeon, his research was mainly clinical or translational. He have performed several retrospects ive case series studies on Budd-Chiari’s syndrome, aortic aneurysm and Takayasu’s disease. As a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Scientist at Yale University School of Medicine, he carried out multiple studies focused on molecular regulation of ischemia induced angiogenesis/arteriogenesis and flow dependent and/or arterial injury induced vascular remodeling. His independent research career has started in 2010 and, the primary research goals in his laboratory are to understand the molecular control of vascular remodelling and angiogenesis/arteriogenesis in response to arterial injury, atherosclerosis and ischemia.
