About the Journal

Advances in Dairy Research is the field that deals with the Dairy and animal breeding, Physiology, Cell biology and endocrinology of lactation, animal science, milk production and composition, Biotechnology and food technology, properties of milk proteins and other components, dairy products such as cheese, fermented milks and spreads, relevant studies in bacteriology, enzymology and immunology, the use of milk products in other foods, and the development of methods related to Dairy Science
The journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing.
Advances in Dairy Research Open access is a leading peer reviewed journal that promotes rigorous studies in the field of dairy research and makes a significant contribution in advancing knowledge for dairy science and technology. Advances in Dairy Research covers a wide scope of cell biology and endocrinology of lactation; animal husbandry, milk production, composition, preservation, processing and separation; biotechnology and food science. The Journal high impact aspires to provide International scientific/ scholarly communication, platform for dissemination of research through our journal publications.
Advances in Dairy Research is an Open Access journal and aims to publish most complete and reliable source of information on the discoveries and current developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. in all areas of the field and making them freely available through online without any restrictions or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide.
The journal is using Editorial Manager for quality in review process. Editorial Manager is an online manuscript submission, review and processes the articles and makes it easy for author, editor and reviewers to work simultaneously with easier review strategies and protocols. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Advances in Dairy Research or outside experts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/publish process.

Pasteurization

Pasteurization is a process of heating the milk below its boiling point to destroy the micro organisms present in it. Pasteurization is the act or process of heating a food, especially a beverage such as milk, to a specific temperature for a specific period of time in order to kill microorganisms that could cause disease, spoilage, or undesired fermentation.

Bovine Milk

Bovine Milk is a bovine growth hormone, or bovine somatotropin (also called bGH, rbGH, bST, or bST), is given to cows to make them mature faster and produce more milk. The hormone is produced by cows' pituitary gland and an extra amino acid is attached before it's injected into dairy cows.

Skimmed Milk

Skimmed milk is milk from which sufficient milk fat has been removed to reduce its milk fat content to less than 0.5 percent. Skim milk or skimmed milk shall have Vitamin A added so that each quart of food contains not less than 2,000 international units of Vitamin A

Homogenised Milk

Homogenized milk is milk which has been treated to ensure breakup of the fat globules to such an extent that, after 48 hours of quiescent storage at 45oF., no visible cream separation occurs on the milk, and the fat percentage of the top 100 milliliters of milk in a quart, or of proportionate volumes in containers of other sizes, does not differ by more than 10 percent from the fat percentage of the remaining milk as determined after thorough mixing. The word "milk" shall be interpreted to include homogenized milk

Dairy Storage and Shelf Life

Dairy storage and shelf life represents the timeline for the milk from not being deteriorated. The period of time that a product can be kept under practical storage conditions and still retain acceptable quality. The only exception is infant formula. Infant food and formula is required to carry an expiration date to ensure nutrient value has not deteriorated.

Milk born diseases is a transmissable disease from contaminated milk and can be spread either directly by individuals or indirectly through air and polluted water. A disease caused by consuming contaminated food or drink. Myriad microbes and toxic substances can contaminate foods. There are more then 250 known foodborne diseases. The majority are infectious and are caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites.
