Biography

Dr. Zhenguo Lin is currently a Huxley Faculty Fellow in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the Rice University. He received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University in Biology in 2008. He completed his postdoctoral training from Dr. Wen-Hsiung Lis lab at University of Chicago. He is the invited reviewer for NSF and more than 14 journals including PNAS, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Genome Biology and evolution, Bioinformatics and New Phytologist.

Research Interest

Dr. Zhenguo Lin's major research interest is to develop innovative approaches by integrating computational and experimental tools to address some fundamental questions in evolutionary biology: How did novelty and complexity arise in evolution? How gene regulatory network evolved? How the architecture and function of genome evolved?
