Dr. Marcia A. Firmani is the Program Director of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and an Assistant Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Firmani completed an MSPH in Tropical Medicine at Tulane University School of Public Health and a Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, she has carried out NIH-funded research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis and has also worked on numerous projects involving other infectious agents including MRSA and Burkholderia species.
