Biography

Dr. Elena Larrauri Pijoan is Professor in Criminal Law and Criminology and Director of the Degree and the Master in Criminology in Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Her research focuses on criminal records, community sentences, and gender and criminal law. Her most recent publications include: Jacobs, J. and Larrauri, E. Routledge Companion to European Criminology, Routledge. She obtained the Fulbright-La Caixa and Alexander von Humboldt Scholarships. President of the European Society of Criminology (2007- 2010), she was given the prize Rafael Salillas of the Spanish Society of Criminology (2007). She has been awarded All Souls Visiting Fellowship for 2013-2014.
